Salzburger in custody – charged with trafficking over 40 kilos of narcotic drugs

A man from Salzburg (36) is said to have been dealing in narcotic drugs since March 2020 and will soon have to appear before the judge in the regional court.

A Bosnian (36) living in Salzburg will soon have to answer before a regional court judge for drug trafficking on a large scale. The Linz public prosecutor’s office has brought charges: The Salzburger was, so to speak, the right hand for a larger drug dealer. As a courier, the defendant apparently transported the illegal goods from A to B. And, according to the indictment, he also provided a drug hiding place – a basement compartment in an apartment building in Salzburg. While his partner was away, he accepted deliveries and acted as the dealer himself: The 36-year-old is said to have sold around 40 kilograms of cannabis and more than a kilogram of cocaine since March 2020. The previously innocent defendant, represented by defense attorney Kurt Jelinek, has been in the Linz prison since May 15th.
