Available on Microsoft consoles, on PC but also via our mobile devices, Xbox Cloud Gaming wants to conquer homes around the world. And this will inevitably go through a direct integration of the service into our TV.

An important step seems to have been taken in this direction and an announcement could soon be made.

The beginning of a new era

Last week, the American manufacturer announced its desire to review its Xbox Cloud Gaming offer. This is currently closely linked to the Game Pass but it should get rid of it in the relatively near future. Indeed, Microsoft plans to allow players to access their entire Xbox catalog via the cloud and without a subscription.

An initiative which is already topical since Fortnite is the first game to be affected. Anyone can now launch Epic Games’ battle royale from a mobile device or PC through this dear Xbox Cloud Gaming for free. Other free-to-play titles will follow suit. But for now, one category of devices seems to have been overlooked by Microsoft…

An application that will be everywhere?

Journalist and insider Jeff Grubb says Xbox is currently working with Samsung to create an Xbox Cloud Gaming app that can be integrated directly into the South Korean brand’s televisions. For the moment, it is imperative to connect an Xbox console or a computer to a TV to be able to play via the cloud. So that could change very soon.

In addition, a kind of device close to a Roku player and a Fire TV Stick from Amazon would be studied at Xbox. A device that would again be used to play through the cloud by broadcasting games as well as videos. In short, Microsoft could very quickly move up a gear in the field of cloud gaming.
