Indeed, the firm is preparing to market the Galaxy S21 Ultra 256 GB refurbished at 1000 dollars, thus exceeding the symbolic barrier for the first time.
When smartphones first exceeded the symbolic price of 1000 euros, the tech sphere has been somewhat hectic. A sign that the industry is developing and always wants to be more sophisticated, this price also keeps smartphones a little further away from small budgets. From then on, the latter turned to the reconditioned versions of the coveted devices. Now even this solution may no longer be available.
On April 22, the Korean manufacturer will offer a new range of refurbished smartphones. These will be the three Galaxy S21s. But while one might expect the prices to be very attractive, it’s actually hard to tell the difference between used and new. Indeed, the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G in the 256 GB storage version will be marketed at no less than $1000.
Samsung dramatically increases the price of its refurbished smartphones
For their part, the Galaxy S21 + and standard with 128 GB of storage will be sold respectively at $850 and $675. Thus, the price difference between the refurbished and new versions of the Ultra model is only 2000 dollars. Nevertheless, note that it is possible to lower the price of the invoice a little more. Indeed, by exchanging his old smartphone for the new one, the user will be able to obtain a discount of up to $450.
