Samsung ends software support for another Galaxy cell phone in June. Effective immediately, the following model will no longer receive any updates. These are your alternatives.

- Support for other devices is likely to end in the next few months.
The South Korean manufacturer Samsung has granted four years of software support for its Galaxy cell phones and tablets that have been released since 2019. In June, this period has now expired for a Galaxy cell phone. As of now, the Galaxy S10 5G will no longer receive regular security updates. Samsung had already stopped supporting the sister models S10, S10+ and S10e in February.
Support ended for four models in May
- Samsung Galaxy A10
- Samsung Galaxy A40
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e
- Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1
If you own one of these models, it’s time to look around for a new cell phone or tablet. Because without regular security patches, the devices are vulnerable to malware and other types of attacks when surfing the net.
These are the best alternatives for S10 5G, A40 and Co.
While the Galaxy S23+ or S23 Ultra are the main alternatives to the Galaxy S10 5G, the Galaxy A33 and Galaxy A34 are alternatives for the Galaxy A40 model, and the Galaxy A14 5G or the 4G variant is available for the Galaxy A10 a good alternative.
As a replacement for the Galaxy Tab S5e, for example, the Galaxy Tab S7 FE comes into question. The Tab A8 is an ideal replacement device for the Galaxy Tab A 10.1.
