Samsung presents best result since 2018

In the first quarter of 2022, Samsung is expected to have one Profit of the equivalent of around 10.6 billion euros can record, as the group just announced. Compared to the same quarter of the previous year, this is an increase of more than half, which can be explained by strong demand for mobile phones, chips and televisions. The group’s chip division alone is said to have contributed half of the profit. It is the best result in four years.

Samsung’s global sales are also expected to increase 17.7 percent in the first quarter increased to 58 billion euros, which means a quarterly record (source: Samsung). As usual, Samsung will only present exact business figures at a later date. Just like with Apple, the exact result can be expected on April 28th.

Apparently, Samsung is not feeling much of problems in supply chains, while the competition struggles more. How the current smartphone flagship Galaxy S22 is reflected in the numbers cannot yet be answered clearly. The Galaxy S22 series has only been available since the end of February. However, the top models are not among the best-selling Samsung cell phones anyway.

This is what we think of the best model, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra:

Samsung: 272 million smartphones sold

In the past year, according to the analysis company IDC 272 million cell phones can sell. The group has a global market share of 20 percent and is thus in first place. Apple is said to have sold 235.7 million iPhones and increased its market share from 15.9 to 17.4 percent. In third place is Xiaomi from China.
