Samsung Galaxy A smartphones are the real bestsellers

Samsung sells many different Android smartphones in different price ranges between 100 and well over 1,000 euros. In fact, the cheap A-class smartphones in particular are Samsung’s best sellers. You get a comparatively large amount of equipment at an affordable price. But how many percent do smartphones really make up? In Europe, only the Galaxy A smartphones make it 59 percent of all smartphones sold by Samsung (Source: Counterpoint).

All other classes like that The Galaxy M, Galaxy S or Galaxy Fold series only account for 41 percent. This shows how important the Galaxy A smartphones are for Samsung. That’s why these models get better and better from year to year and are also given premium features such as waterproof properties or 120 Hz displays. 5G is now the absolute standard for the new Galaxy A33 and Galaxy A53.

The the most popular Samsung smartphone remains the Galaxy A12, followed by the Galaxy A32 and A51. Then come the Galaxy A52 or Galaxy S20 FE. The “Fan Edition” of the Galaxy S20 has sold excellently and the new generation should not be inferior to it, because it has been technically upgraded properly. More on this in the review of the Galaxy S21 FE.

Apple has nothing to say in the price range

According to Counterpoint, Apple has nothing to offer when it comes to bestselling smartphones up to $500. There you will basically only find Samsung and Xiaomi smartphones. Other manufacturers don’t find it easy to gain a foothold there either, because if you want to buy such a cheap smartphone, you almost always go for Samsung or Xiaomi, since you already had one of the smartphones from these two manufacturers before. Huawei used to be a good part of it, but the Chinese company no longer plays a role.
