When your device is broken, getting it repaired can be a real headache. It is for this reason that Samsung has created its self-repair service which allows you to repair your device yourself directly at home. Starting today, Samsung is expanding its service in the US to more devices, including laptops.
The self-repair program previously affected Galaxy S20, S21, and Tab S7 devices. Now, the program extends to Galaxy Book Pro 15″ and Galaxy Book Pro 360 15″ computers, as well as the Galaxy S22 series.
Samsung works with iFixit to provide this service to its customers. All a device owner needs to do is select the correct repair kit from the iFixit website and purchase it. Once the kit arrives at their home, the device owner can watch a video tutorial online with step-by-step instructions for performing the repair.
Optional repair kits
According to Samsung, Galaxy Book owners will have access to seven repairs under the program, including case, screen, battery, touchpad, power key with fingerprint reader, and rubber foot. . Smartphone owners will have the option to replace the display assembly, rear glass and charging ports.
Repair kits are available for purchase today. Other Samsung in-home repair options include the Samsung Beyond Boundaries program which sends technicians to your home for in-home repairs, as long as you live within four hours of a Samsung care center, and the Samsung Travel Techs program which sends technicians to customers outside this radius.
