With its Galaxy S25, Samsung should take an important step thanks to the Exynos 2500. Indeed, the Korean giant has developed an SoC on the way to becoming more efficient than Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.
While the Galaxy S24 series still relies on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for its Ultra model, the Exynos 2500, Samsung’s next in-house chip, could surpass the performance of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, the launch of which is expected for the same period. At least that is what analysts suggest, counting on the technological advantage that 3 nm GAA engraving will confer.
For 2026, the Korean company would consider replacing the AMD graphics processor in Exynos chips with an in-house GPU. That being said, Samsung could well shake up the cards in the high-end mobile processor market next year with the arrival of its Exynos 2500.

The Exynos 2500 would be more efficient than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4
After some setbacks encountered with the Galaxy S22 series and its Exynos 2200, Samsung finally seems to have regained the trust of users. As a reminder, the Galaxy S24 and S24+, depending on the region of the world, do not inherit the same SoC. In China, the United States and Canada, it is the Qualcomm chip that powers the Korean’s latest flagships, while in the rest of the world, it is the Exynos 2400 that powers the entry and middle editions. of range.
Regardless, according to a report from BusinessKorea relayed by Neowin, it is precisely in the area of energy efficiency that the future Exynos 2500 should make the difference. Samsung will likely be the first manufacturer to mass produce chips using 3nm GAA (Gate-All-Around) engraving technology.

Concretely, this technology would allow Samsung to increase the performance and efficiency of its SoC, giving the Exynos 2500 an advantage over Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. Although production will once again be entrusted to the Taiwanese giant TSMC, the latter should opt for a more traditional 3 nm process, thus using FinFET transistors.
To support this report, recent rumors suggested that the Exynos 2500 would achieve performance comparable to that of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.
