The release of the Galaxy S23 will be one of the events of the beginning of 2023. Changes in battery size and certain photo sensors are to be expected.

Expected for next January, Samsung’s Galaxy S23 series is revealed a little more through a new leak.

Larger capacity batteries on the S23 and S23+

According to information shared by the Dutch publication Galaxy Clubthe Galaxy S23 Plus should be equipped with a 4,700 mAh battery, a capacity greater than the 4,500 mAh of the Galaxy S22 Plus at the start of the year.

A previous report claimed that the standard Galaxy S23 battery would gain 200 mAh compared to that of the Galaxy S22 to reach 3,900 mAh, which the source does not confirm. This indicates, however, that the battery of the Galaxy S23 Ultra should not move and remain at 5,000 mAh.

The three smartphone models have already passed their 3C certification in China, and we know that they will be delivered with a 25 W charger. It is likely that the charging power of the mobiles will remain identical to that of their predecessors: up to at 25 W for the S23 and S23 Plus, up to 45 W for the S23 Ultra.

A 200 MP sensor for the Galaxy S23 Ultra

The media claims that the ultra wide-angle sensor of the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus will offer the same definition of 12 MP. He also expects the Galaxy S23 Ultra to have such a sensor, but cannot confirm it for the moment.

Galaxy Club previously announced that the 10 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom of the Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus will return to the next generation. The front camera dedicated to selfies should benefit from a slight improvement, going from 10 to 12 MP.

The biggest optical change for the series is to be attributed to the Galaxy S23 Ultra, which will switch from a 108 MP sensor to a new 200 MP module.
