Samsung Galaxy A04e, A04s and A04 in comparison: All differences at a glance
The Samsung Galaxy A04 series has been on the market since 2022. The series now consists of three different models. Our comparison clarifies where the differences lie.
The Galaxy A04 from Samsung was originally released in August 2022, but later the A04s and A04e were added. So if you’re considering buying the A04, you’ll be spoiled for choice.
We compared the three models and tell you what the differences are and what you should look out for when buying.
In terms of display, the smartphones are very similar. All three variants have LCD panels and a screen size of 6.5 inches. The resolution is 720 x 1,600 pixels and the pixel density is 270 ppi. The only difference between the cell phones is the refresh rate. The Galaxy A04s has 90 Hertz here, while the other models only have 60 Hertz.
The A04 smartphones also differ in some aspects in terms of performance. The A04s is equipped with an Exynos 850 and thus has the strongest computing power. This is followed by the A04e with a MediaTek Helio G35 and the A04 brings up the rear with the MediaTek Helio P35. This model variant can be purchased with 4 gigabytes of RAM, while the other models are only available with 3 GB of RAM.
When it comes to the camera, the A04s is clearly ahead. The smartphone has a triple camera consisting of a main sensor with 50.3 megapixels as well as a macro camera and a depth camera with 2 megapixels each. The A04 is also equipped with a main camera with 50 megapixels, but there is only one additional camera installed that has 2 megapixels. The A04e brings up the rear here, which only has a main camera with 13 megapixels and a second camera with 2 megapixels.
battery and memory
The battery in all models is the standard version of the A series. This has a capacity of 5,000 mAh and will easily get you through the day. The storage is limited to 32 gigabytes in the basic configuration for all variants, but you can upgrade this to up to 1 terabyte with an external SD. For a little more money you can also buy the version with 64 or 128 gigabytes directly.
None of the models have 5G, so you’ll have to settle for a slightly slower internet connection. All three phones come with Android 12 out of the box, but the devices are eligible for multiple security and feature updates.
The smartphones can no longer be bought directly from Samsung, which means that the prices can vary greatly. You can currently get the Galaxy A04s for 129 euros in the 32 gigabyte version. You can get the A04e with 32 gigabytes for just under 100 euros, while the A04 is available in stores for around 115 euros.
