Samsung Galaxy A54 and A34: the technical sheets of the two smartphones are revealed

After unveiling its Galaxy S23 with great fanfare, designed to occupy the premium segment this year, Samsung is preparing for the release of the next Galaxy A. Mid-range smartphones that represent a huge volume of sales for the South Korean. This is particularly the case of the Galaxy A54 and A34, whose technical sheets are already showing on the web.

The 91mobiles site, often well informed on these issues, allows you to discover the equipment chosen for these two strategic models. A revelation that follows the publication of renderings by different leakerswhich allow them to see that their design is similar to the latest premium models from Samsung.

The Galaxy A54 should have a pretty 6.4-inch Super Amoled panel (0.1 less than the Galaxy A53) displaying in Full HD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels). Like last year, it will benefit from an image refresh rate capable of going up to 120 Hz. The use of Corning Gorilla Glass type glass is not specified, but expected. The smartphone also retains its IP67 certification, which certifies its resistance to water splashes and dust.

Under this screen, the firm would have opted for an in-house SoC: the Exynos 1380. The chipset should be accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. In photos, we would benefit from a 50 Mpx main sensor whose lens opens at f / 1.8, accompanied by a 12 Mpx ultra wide-angle module (f / 2.2) and a macro sensor of 5 MP. A 32 Mpx sensor reserved for selfies would be housed in the front punch.

The device would still have a generous 5000 mAh battery compatible with 25 W charging. On paper, the changes compared to the Galaxy A53 5G are really discreet. The choice of SoC will therefore be crucial to really make a difference in terms of performance. The Exynos 1280 used last year didn’t really convince us, in particular because of a rather disappointing GPU part. It is therefore expected at the turning point in this area.

Rumors about the Galaxy A34 suggest a smartphone with a fairly large screen. It would carry a 6.6-inch Super Amoled panel (0.2 inch more than the A33), also displaying in Full HD + and offering a maximum refresh rate of 90 Hz. To propel the whole thing, Samsung would have this time- ci trusts Mediatek and its Dimensity 1080, engraved in 6 nm. The previous version was also equipped with an Exynos 1280 (5 nm). It is therefore hoped that the adoption of the chipsets Taiwanese will benefit him.

On the back, we will find a similar configuration, consisting of a main sensor of 48 Mpx (f / 1.8), an ultra wide-angle module of 8 Mpx (f / 2.2) and a macro module (5MP, f/2.4). The depth sensor is missing. At the front, we should be satisfied with the same 13 Mpx (f / 2.4) sensor as last year, still housed in a notch in the shape of a drop of water.

Autonomy is still ensured by a 5000 mAh battery compatible with 25 W charging. The two smartphones will run Android 13 and the One UI 5.0 overlay, or even 5.1 when they are released.
