Samsung Galaxy A73: First image of the mid-range smartphone has appeared

While Samsung’s top smartphones in the Galaxy S series are currently under fire for targeted performance throttling, the manufacturer is continuing to expand its portfolio of mid-range cell phones. With the A series, the company has been offering a colorful bouquet of devices of different strengths for years, which are intended to offer a solid compromise between price and performance. Technically, the top models in the series often differ only marginally from the expensive upper-class cell phones. The still unannounced Galaxy A73 should also fall into this category.

Insider publishes alleged product image

In addition, all sorts of rumors have been circulating online for weeks. The industry insider and Twitter user Onleaks even published self-created render images. Now he follows up and, according to 91mobiles.com, presents what is said to be the first official product image of the smartphone. The authenticity of the render, which may be intended for press purposes, is difficult to verify, but the image is very similar to the previously published drafts. The particularly narrow display frame of the alleged Galaxy A73 is particularly eye-catching.

Release soon?

Recently surfaced images of the related but slightly smaller Galaxy A53 showed a device with quite a wide bezel, as is common in this price range. The A73, on the other hand, looks much more elegant with its wafer-thin border. In addition, with a supposed case size of 163.8x76x7.6 millimeters, it is more compact than the predecessor Galaxy A72 – with the same display size of 6.7 inches. Onleaks and 91mobiles.com do not give any new details about the technology. If earlier rumors are true, Samsung is installing a Snapdragon 750G with 8 gigabytes of RAM and a 108-megapixel camera sensor. A release of the smartphone is imminent. Samsung unveiled the predecessor in spring 2021.
