Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G: an affordable flagship carved out for lovers of photos and videos

The samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G was presented on January 04, 2022 during the CES in Las Vegas. Launched to succeed the excellent S20 FE, the new affordable flagship of the Korean giant intends to seduce users with the quality of its screen, the performance of its camera, the power of its processor and the impressive autonomy of its battery.

Many were waiting for the arrival of the Galaxy S21 FE 5G, an affordable version of Samsung’s current flagship. It is now official. And unsurprisingly, the smartphone looks a lot like the Galaxy S21. The compromises are indeed slight. However, it is offered at € 100 less. Also, all those who order theirs before February 08, 2022 are entitled to a nice gift as part of an introductory offer.

Free Galaxy Buds2 for the purchase of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G

The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G is already available for purchase. The introductory price is set at 759 € for the 6/128 GB version and 829 € for the 8/256 GB grind. Furthermore, Samsung is offering a pair of Galaxy Buds2 for customers who make their purchase from January 4 to February 8, 2022 inclusive. You can also benefit from 100 € additional discount thanks to the trade-in of your old device, until February 8, 2022.

A large, ultra-smooth 6.4-inch screen

It is difficult to differentiate the Galaxy S21 FE 5G from the Galaxy S21 at all when looking at it from the front. The design is almost identical: clean and elegant with fine borders, a punch at the top and in the center of the screen… only the size of the screen has changed slightly.

For the enjoyment of YouTube and Netflix fans, the S21 FE indeed sports a larger screen. It measures 6.4 inches and benefits from Samsung’s Dynamic AMOLED technology. In addition, the screen displays with an FHD + definition and offers a 120Hz refresh rate.

Everything is therefore good to guarantee a pleasant experience whether it is when watching videos online, during game sessions or simply browsing through the applications on a daily basis.

Bright photos with the triple photo sensor

The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G has three photo sensors on its back. The main sensor is a 12-megapixel wide-angle (f / 1.8, OIS). It is supported by two other sensors: a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle (f / 2.2) and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens (f / 2.4 OIS).

With such a setup, we obviously expect the S21 FE’s camera to be versatile. It produces bright photos day and night. Even in low light conditions, images remain crisp and well detailed.

Thanks to Samsung’s new enhanced portrait mode, the smartphone also excels in this area. Now you will have more textures and colors in the background.

Moreover, the telephoto lens is also very efficient. The sensor is able to do optical zooms up to 3x and digital zooms up to 30x. With the optical stabilization technology that comes with this telephoto lens, images stay crisp and clear even at very long distances.

Finally, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G incorporates a 32 megapixel camera for selfies.

Full power with the Snapdragon 88

Unlike the classic S21, the Galaxy S21 FE does not include Samsung’s Exynos 2100 in-house processor. Instead, it gets the SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. This chip is no longer to present. Almost all current high-end smartphones are equipped with it, if we only mention the OnePlus 9 Pro or the Galaxy Z Fold 3.

With this powerful processor, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G is available in two versions: 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage or 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory. Both ensure high performance for this phone. There is no risk of it slowing down even with heavy games or apps. Multitasking goes smoothly

Impressive autonomy with the 4500 mA battery

No need to rush to the charger when you get home with this Galaxy S21 FE 5G. Just like its predecessor, Samsung gave it a large 4500 mAh battery, enough to allow it to last up to more than a day in intensive use.

Obviously, the fast charge is also there. And this time, it offers a capacity of 25W wired and 15W wireless.

Samsung is also touting reverse wireless charging technology in its new S21 FE. It allows you to charge the Galaxy Buds2 by simply placing them on its back.
