Samsung Galaxy Tab S8: big leak before the conference, all models will be under Snapdragon 8 Gen 1

You will have the choice between the Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S8+ and Tab S8 Ultra tablets, with several subtleties between these versions.

On February 8, the Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event will take place. The Korean company will certainly unveil its Galaxy S22 series there and possibly give a taste of its Galaxy Tab S8 before MWC 2022 at the end of February / beginning of March. A little ahead of schedule, the WinFuture site unpacks the specs and provides several shots.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC for all

Samsung has planned three models, the Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S8+ and Tab S8 Ultra. All of them have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and run Android 12 with a Samsung One UI 4.1 overlay.

In the S8 and S8+ models, the Qualcomm chip is associated with 8 GB of RAM while this quantity can go up to 16 GB in the case of the S8 Ultra. Some differences also in terms of storage between the Ultra version and the other two: these will be offered with 128 or 256 GB, while the first will offer up to 512 GB.

AMOLED display for the S8+ and S8 Ultra

The three shelves have three different templates. The most compact is logically the S8 with dimensions of 253.8 x 165.4 x 6.3 mm and a weight of 507 grams. Its 11-inch LCD screen offers a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels (i.e. a resolution of 276 ppi). In addition, the Galaxy Tab S8 is content with an 8000 mAh battery.

The S8+ measures 285 x 185 x 5.7 mm and displays 567 grams on the scale. Samsung has equipped it with a 12.7-inch AMOLED screen with a definition of 2800 x 1752 pixels (266 ppi resolution). This version is powered by a 10090 mAh battery.

Finally, the S8 Ultra has dimensions of 208.6 x 326.4 x 5.5 and clocks in at 728 grams. It benefits from a 14.6-inch AMOLED screen offering a definition of 2960 x 1848 pixels (240 ppi resolution), and a 11200 mAh battery.

Note that all screens offer a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

Two selfie sensors for the S8 Ultra

For video and photo, the three tablets have two cameras on the back, one 13 MP and one 6 MP. The S8 and S8+ have a single 12 MP selfie camera, while the Ultra has two 12 MP.
