Certifications continue for accessories of the future connected watch from Samsung, and its release now seems imminent.
It seems that we don’t have much to wait before discovering Samsung’s next smartwatches.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 charger is now certified
The manufacturer has received certification for a wireless charging dock issued by the Korean Radio Research Agency, which seems to be that of the future Samsung Galaxy Watch 5.
Of course, no name is associated with this product, only the code name “ER-OR900”. The latter has put the chip in the ear of attentive observers of Samsung news. The ‘R9’ code does indeed appear to be associated with the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 range. Earlier this year, the smartwatch’s battery codename leaked as EB-BR900ABY.
This document does not provide us with much additional information, in particular on the load capacities of this new model. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 should accommodate a slightly larger battery, with a capacity of 276 mAh, compared to 247 mAh on the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 could come in three models this year, with one for smaller wrists and a pro. This new watch would offer a few additional features, including temperature measurement, which would be a world first in the sector.
We don’t yet know when Samsung will unveil its Samsung Galaxy Watch 5, but if we stick to the manufacturer’s usual calendar, its announcements concerning connected watches occur regularly in August, at the same time as the presentation of its new folding smartphones Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold.
