Expected for the end of the summer, the next folding smartphone Samsung’s small format is starting to make people talk about its performance. After discovering its design from every angle a few days ago, here is a benchmark makes our mouths water.

The opportunity to confirm that the Galaxy Z Flip 4 will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen1 +, which must be formalized by Qualcomm in the coming days.

Impressive performance for the Galaxy Z Flip 4

Like last year with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3, we should escape an Exynos chip designed in-house. Suffice to say that we will gain from it, as the chips manufactured by Qualcomm are more efficient, but also more energy efficient than their counterparts from Samsung.

Engraved in 4 nm, the Snapdragon 8 Gen1+ houses an 8-core CPU (1x 3.19 GHz; 3x 2.75 GHz; 4x 1.80 GHz) which is quite far ahead as the fastest on the Android smartphone market. It also leaves with a fairly high score on Geekbench, with 1277 points in single-core, and 3642 in multi-core.

Nonetheless, Apple’s A15 Bionic maintains a comfortable head start on the same test protocol. The iPhone SE 2022, to cite only the very latest of the bunch, scored 1721 points in single-core and 4603 points in multi-core.

In all likelihood, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will adopt the same chip, but should offer more RAM than the 8 GB embedded in the Flip.
