The next generation of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold and Flip folding smartphones are expected in the summer. A press release obviously published by mistake from Samsung Australia would point to a launch at the end of July.
Rumors are multiplying around Samsung’s next folding smartphones, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5. The manufacturer seems to have got into the habit of renewing this product line during the summer, in place of its old Galaxy range. Note. We are therefore awaiting information concerning the organization of a Galaxy Unpacked.
After some noise from the corridors, Samsung Australia seems to have spilled the beans. In a publication since deleted, but still available on Google Cache, the manufacturer mentions an Unpacked event.
Publishing error?
Since Samsung Australia deleted its article, we will keep the conditional for the moment. We could read that Samsung would organize its 27th Unpacked event in July at COEX, ie at Samsung HQ in Seoul.
If this were to be confirmed, it would be a strong signal for the firm to play at home. When a manufacturer unveils a product directly in its hometown, it’s usually a significant event in the brand’s history.
The statement explained Seoul’s choice to “its role in influencing global trends through its dynamic culture and innovation“.
Several manufacturers have recently entered the foldable smartphone market with proposals that are sometimes more relevant than Samsung.
Towards a presentation at the end of July
The press release also specifies that it will be a demonstration concerning the range of foldable smartphones, leaving little doubt on the subject of this conference. In addition, the period from the end of July is also mentioned, without a specific date.
In 2022, Samsung unveiled its range of foldable smartphones on August 10, 2022. With a presentation at the end of July, the firm would take a few days in advance. A credible theory from which we will still wait for an official and definitive announcement from the other branches of Samsung.
