He claims that “Samsung recorded a 300 billion operating margin won in the first quarter of this year for tablets. The operating profit margin for tablets is around 10%, surpassing the 7-8% levels seen for smartphones and smartwatches. According to the leaker, digital slates are almost 50% more profitable for the Korean giant than smartphones or connected watches.
