Samsung has had a new charger certified in the USA. The wireless charging pad reveals news about the Galaxy S22.

Samsung’s final preparations for the release of the Galaxy S22 are in full swing. This is expected to take place in February 2022. In addition to the new cell phone, we will then apparently also expect new accessories, such as new chargers for wireless charging. Such a device has now been registered by Samsung in the USA.
The manufacturer recently received a certificate for a new charger from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), reports the online magazine PhoneArena. The FCC is practically the equivalent of the TÜV in Germany. Anyone who wants to market electronic products in the USA needs a license from the FCC. The registered device is apparently a wireless charging pad with an output of 25 watts.
Although such a certificate does not automatically mean that this device will also appear, it is still usually a good indicator of the manufacturer’s plans. The main interesting thing about the device is the fact that none of the Samsung phones currently support wireless charging with 25 watts. This could be an indication that the accessories are tailored to the new generation of cell phones in the Galaxy range.
Fast wireless charging only on the Ultra model?
According to a report by MySmartPrice, only the Ultra model could support fast wireless charging. It is quite possible that the other models can still only be charged with 15 watts without a cable. There are also rumors about increasing the charging capacity via cable. This could be increased from 25 watts to 45 watts.
Even if this is not official information from Samsung, these rumors could be true. It would make sense for the South Korean manufacturer to work on the loading speed, as some competitors are already a few steps further. The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi, for example, already offers charging functions with over 100 watts.
