Ahead of CES 2022, Samsung has just announced a new pc screen
which has everything to please the most demanding players.

This is a first for the market. The Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 will be the first PC gaming display to combine 4K and a 240Hz refresh rate.

A screen coupling 4K and 240 Hz

Here is a screen that will make eye to the players. A smaller version of the Odyssey Neo G9, Samsung’s new monitor is also made for gaming. We therefore find the design so characteristic of the range with the orb at the back which can change color at will and adapt to the setup of its owners. Small difference, the Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 offers a 32-inch panel with the same 1000 R curvature as its predecessor and Quantum Mini LED technology for a maximum brightness of 2000 nits. Enough to provide excellent visibility in the game, even in the darkest environments.

More than the size difference, the Neo G8 has a very special feature: it will be the first PC monitor to support 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels), a refresh rate of 240 Hz and a response time of 1 ms. It obviously supports HDR 10+ and retains its compatibility with Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. The Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 also has two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4 port with adaptive sync, a headphone jack and two USB 3.0 ports. Its price and release date? We will have to wait until CES 2022, which will begin on January 5, to find out about them.
