Cloud gaming is booming, and Samsung has understood this. The South Korean firm is preparing to take a new step in this area by adding its Gaming Hub to new PC screens.

For the moment, the models concerned are few.

An even more accessible hub

Last July, Samsung took everyone by surprise by announcing the deployment of its Gaming Hub on its most recent televisions. This platform provides access to various services such as Stadia, Xbox Cloud Gaming or GeForce Now. Thus, the user does not need to use a console to access his favorite video games. A simple controller (and a good internet connection) is enough.

After the TVs, Samsung therefore intends to offer this expensive Gaming Hub natively on PC screens. The first monitors that will be entitled to this space are the Odyssey G70B and G65B models. For its part, the Odyssey Ark (pre-order at 3,000 euros) will also benefit from this element. The manufacturer explains that a computer will not be required to be able to configure this Hub giving access to the services mentioned above.

Screens that send heavy!

Apart from the Gaming Hub, these PC monitors promise great things, if we refer to their respective data sheets. For example, the Samsung Odyssey G70B has a diagonal of 28 or 32 inches, with a refresh rate of 144 Hz and a response time of 1 ms. Everything has an Ultra HD resolution and compatibility with G-Sync and FreeSync Premium Pro technologies. The same goes for the G65B which will have a 27-inch and a 32-inch variant. The refresh rate will this time increase to 240 Hz.

In addition to the Gaming Hub, these displays will feature the Samsung Gaming Bar. In short, the South Korean firm continues to focus on video games thanks to its various tools. The Asian brand undoubtedly wants to become a leader in cloud gaming proposals.
