Samsung refuses to replace them despite this very big defect

On the Samsung community forum, user Qu1JcMmaCO tells. “I am purchasing a locked and financed S24 Ultra from Samsung.com with [l’opérateur] T-Mobile. I received it 6 days ago and it has been in a case since the day I unboxed it. No drips, no water, he was handled like a newborn. And there, for no reason, while watching YouTube, a vertical green line appeared with a horizontal white line. They even appear on the start screen”.

Despite this obvious defect, Samsung will not replace the affected Galaxy S24 Ultra

When he contacts Samsung Care+, the manufacturer’s paid insurance, an advisor admits that it is a manufacturing defect and says he cannot help. After transfer to the order department, the latter refuses to make an exchange. Only solution proposed: return the S24 Ultra and buy another one. Except that by doing this, the customer loses the pre-order discounts he may have benefited from. The exchange ends with a referral to the T-Mobile operator, which of course responds to check with Samsung.

On Reddit, an Internet user describes more or less the same story. He bought a S24 Ultra locked at Verizon. Samsung has also cleared customs and in a store, a Verizon employee explains that the operator will make sure to “release itself from any responsibility for the provision of the guarantee”. That is clear. It seems that only S24 Ultras purchased blocked from a US operator are affected. For the moment, there are no reports of a similar bug on another variant of the Galaxy S24.
