Caution ! If you have a Galaxy Watch 4, it is not recommended to download the latest update.

This new version has indeed a tendency… to decommission certain watches of the Korean group.

A new update for the Galaxy Watch 4…

Launched a little over a year ago, Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 4 smartwatch was recently replaced by a fifth model, launching in late summer. This obviously does not prevent the Korean giant from continuing to support the previous generation, even if users would have obviously been fine without the latest update.

Indeed, the R8xxXXU1GVI3 firmware dedicated to the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 causes a particularly annoying bug, so much so that the group had to suspend its deployment.

… but already withdrawn by Samsung!

Indeed, many users have reported concerns in recent hours on the Samsung forums following the installation of the latest firmware for their Galaxy Watch 4. Indeed, once downloaded, the update requires a restart of the watch, but the latter is then unable to turn on again, which immediately puts it out of service.

If, at first, Samsung did not want to react, the group finally confirmed a problem that would affect ” a limited number of Galaxy Watch 4 watches “. So he made the decision to stop the deployment of this new update.

Samsung promises that a new version of the firmware will be deployed soon, obviously hoping to have managed to identify, and especially to correct the problem.

In the meantime, users are strongly advised not to install this new R8xxXXU1GVI3 update on their Galaxy Watch 4 watch. Unless you have a taste for risk, of course…
