At the start of the year, during Mobile World Congress 2024, Samsung showed off its astonishing connected ring, the Galaxy Ring. The ring, obviously equipped with several sensors, will allow future users to keep an eye on their state of health, including during their sleep.
Samsung Galaxy Ring, towards a price of 300 euros?
Even though its official presentation should take place in the coming weeks, Indian leaker Yogesh Brar has leaked some information concerning Samsung’s Galaxy Ring. The one which will be available in three colors (and nine sizes) should be offered at a price of 35,000 rupees in India, or around 300/350 euros.
A price that would place the Galaxy Ring in direct competition with the Oura Ring 3, offered from 329 euros. The author of the leaker also indicates that the Galaxy Ring (like the Oura Ring 3) could be the subject of a monthly subscription in the United States, the price of which would be “ less than 10 dollars per month “. For its part, the autonomy of the ring will be set at around ten days.
The ring on your finger to complete the connected watch on your wrist?
In all likelihood, it is as part of its Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10 that Samsung will officially launch its Galaxy Ring.
Remember that in addition to sporting activities, the Samsung Galaxy Ring should also detect signs of sleep apnea thanks to the development of a dedicated function. All the information gleaned from the ring will obviously be centralized within the Samsung Health application.
According to Samsung, Galaxy Ring owners will be able to get different information about their health when they also wear a smartwatch (like the Galaxy Watch 6). For the Korean giant, it is therefore a question of creating a complementary health ecosystem (and not an alternative product) with its Galaxy Ring.
