Samsung unveils its almost “indestructible” external SSD

If you want to have an “all-terrain” storage device, Samsung has thought of you with the T7 Shield which has just been released. We explain to you what it is.

Samsung has just formalized the T7 Shield. Behind this name, not a new army vehicle but rather an external SSD, which receives an IP65 certification (can be subjected to substantial splashes of water). This standard also provides resistance to dust.

A Samsung SSD to take everywhere

The “indestructible” side is symbolized by its ability to withstand drops of up to 3 meters, even if the warranty does not cover damage following a fall. Not stupid at Samsung. It is still a great assurance to be able to take the T7 Shield everywhere, at the sea in the sand or in the rain. Finally, the whole thing weighs less than 100 grams.

Good performance

In addition to the rugged side of the product, the T7 Shield from Samsung is nonetheless a quality storage device with a promise of a read speed of 1050 MB/s and a write speed of 1000 MB/s. The SSD Samsung T7 Shield is available at a price of 169.99 euros for the 1 TB version and 319.99 euros for the 2 TB version.

Note also that three colors are available: Beige, Black and Blue. To brighten up your desktop or PC a bit.
