Lots of good news in the news yesterday! First, the prospect of much more durable batteries which comes to us from Samsung. Then, the official end of green stickers on our windshields. Finally, a new Weather application on Pixel which actually fits… in the Clock! All this, in summary version, right here.

Samsung could considerably boost the autonomy of our smartphones

Samsung has a plan to revolutionize the smartphone battery market. Rather than a liquid electrolyte, the Korean manufacturer is currently working on a battery with a solid electrolyte. Called ASD, for All Solid State, this model would benefit from a much higher energy density than current lithium batteries, in addition to presenting less risk of explosion and better resistance to wear.

Say goodbye to the little green sticker

From April 1, 2024, you will no longer need to put the small green sticker on your windshield. Two years after the official announcement from the authorities, the insurance paper is finally preparing to be dematerialized. In this way, the police will only have to consult the Insured vehicle file during a check to verify that you are properly insured. So no more fines of €35 for forgetting the green sticker.

Pixel clock now shows weather

Pixel users can find a new Weather app since yesterday. Concretely, the latter allows you to consult the day’s weather information directly in the Clock application. In addition, it is possible to program alarms to wake you up with the weather forecast, or to receive notifications in the event of a significant change in the weather. These features are only available under Android 14.
