Samsung could finally launch a Galaxy S23 FE. This is what the Korean site The Elec tells us today, whose information is taken up by GSMArena. Potential good news while this line is not necessarily sustainable in Samsung’s offer.
Bringuebalée to the Samsung catalog, to the point that we never really know if it will be renewed the following year, the FE line could return in 2023 after a big year of absence.
An S23 FE would be in the boxes
We learn, in fact, that after having abandoned its plan to launch a Galaxy S22 FE last year (due to the shortage of semiconductors then in progress, as well as the strong demand for the S22 Ultra , mainly), Samsung could decide to market an S23 FE within a few months.
As it happens, The Electric understands that the device would emerge by next August or September, without further details at this stage. According to the first information circulating, we nevertheless learn that Samsung will leave its Galaxy A74 aside this year to focus on the marketing of this potential Galaxy S23 FE and distribute it in more markets, underlines GSMArena.
What processor? Two solutions are considered…
In the absence of real details concerning the technical sheet of the machine, two tracks are envisaged concerning its processor. Samsung would either opt for a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 “ForGalaxy”or for a chip that is now a little older (and affordable): the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, launched in 2022. This choice would have the advantage of allowing a more attractive price placement, while offering still very solid performance.
As a reminder, the “FE” series was inaugurated in 2020 at Samsung with the launch of the S20 FE. The device had then enjoyed significant esteem and significant commercial success, with more than 10 million units distributed during this same year 2020. The following year, the S21 FE, which had been postponed to several times, however, had not experienced such convincing sales despite good reviews in the specialized press (including at Clubic).
