Samsung will introduce the Galaxy S23 on February 1. And here are the details

Samsung will host an in-person Unpacked event on Wednesday, February 1 in San Francisco, CA. This is Samsung’s first in-person event since the pandemic forced companies to embrace virtual events.

During this event, Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy S23, its new high-end smartphone. The in-person event and of course, Samsung also plans to broadcast the event live on its website and YouTube.

What to expect from Unpacked

If the company follows its logic from previous models, we should see the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra arrive. These names translate to smartphones that are size, price, and specs consistent with the “good, better, and best” approach.

As you can see in the invitation image above, there are three circles of light in a row. This layout is very similar to the camera layout on Samsung phones, with the lenses all stacked vertically on the back of the phone’s casing.

Maybe Samsung will announce camera improvements? I think it’s likely. There are rumors that Samsung is going to launch a 200-megapixel camera in the S23 Ultrawhich is just crazy.

Samsung usually has one or two other devices to announce alongside its new smartphones, and this year everyone can wonder what the company is up to. We might see new Galaxy tablets, or maybe even a new Windows laptop.

Samsung’s line of smartwatches doesn’t need a refresh, but that hasn’t stopped the company from releasing new models in the past.
