The manufacturer would already be hard at work for a presentation of its Tablet at the start of 2023.

Samsung has apparently found the right formula with its folding smartphones, the latest versions of which have been pretty successful according to the sales estimates announced by various analysts.

A new format that could be presented in early 2023

On the strength of this success, the manufacturer will present this Wednesday, August 10, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, two new folding phones which will take care of perfecting an already well-mastered formula.

However, the Korean brand would not stop there. According to various increasingly insistent rumors, Samsung would also be working on the development of a folding tablet, which would be added to its large family of touch slates.

No details have yet leaked and we do not know what screen size Samsung would be heading for, or even what type of device format. Only its release date would be fixed during the first quarter of 2023, with a preference for the months of January and February.

It is possible that the brand will present its new flagship alongside the next Samsung Galaxy S23 smartphones, usually announced at the start of the year, and a possible new line of Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 tablets, if however the manufacturer opts for an annual revision. of its touch pads.

A folding tablet, but for what uses?

Samsung Display, the subsidiary of the Samsung conglomerate dedicated to the manufacture of screens, has specialized in this type of flexible panels for ten years. The company has also filed multiple patents on roll-up or double-fold screens.

The folding smartphone has an obvious interest, offering a device the size of a small tablet to improve viewing comfort but which can be easily stored in a pocket. It is more difficult to understand the advantages of a folding tablet.

Samsung could try to reduce the size of the object again for better transport. We think in particular of its Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, a device with a massive 14.6-inch screen that lends itself well to PC use, with a dedicated keyboard, rather than being held at arm’s length for several hours. . Samsung could thus further increase the screen size, to get even closer to a laptop while reducing the size.

We can also look at the Flex Note, a concept unveiled by Samsung at CES with a 17.3-inch OLED screen that displays a keyboard or controls on one half and content on the other, from the same way as a traditional PC, once unfolded.

And you, would you be seduced by a foldable tablet and for what uses? Tell us what you think in the comments!
