Samsung’s next headphones should be more accessible than the Buds 2 Pro

Samsung is reportedly preparing new Galaxy Buds FE, cheaper headphones whose manual has already been leaked even before their release.

A few days ago, we discovered visuals of a new pair of Samsung headphones, now certified in South Korea. Now we know a lot more about them and in particular their name: it should be the Samsung Galaxy Buds FE.

The Dutch site Galaxy Club has gotten its hands on the user manual for the headphones presenting not only visuals with the different elements integrated into the wireless headphones, but also their name and their characteristics.

We can thus discover the headphones in much more detailed visuals than the photo posted online by the Korean regulatory authority. The Samsung Galaxy Buds FE should take advantage of an in-ear format with silicone tips, proximity sensors, support fins and two microphones on the outside to analyze your voice and ambient noise. Furthermore, the manual presents a “touch surfaceflat, which therefore changes from the curved shape of previous Samsung headphones. However, it remains to be seen whether it will be a sensitive surface, as was previously the case, or a surface that also acts as a button, as some Jabra headphones, for example, can offer.

On the case side, the manual presents two LEDs, inside and outside, as well as a USB-C charging socket. There is no indication, however, that the Galaxy Buds FE case will be compatible with wireless charging by induction.

More information expected in the fall for the Galaxy Buds FE

For now, this is the only information obtained about the Galaxy Buds FE. We therefore do not know what the onboard transducers will be, as well as the compatible audio codecs or the autonomy provided by the manufacturer.

Remember that the range “FEfrom Samsung generally offers more accessible versions of the Korean manufacturer’s high-end devices. We can easily imagine that the Galaxy Buds FE will be launched at the same time as the future Galaxy S23 FE. Traditionally, it is during the fall that Samsung announces this new range. For the price, nothing is certain yet, even if we can safely count on a lower price than that of the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, currently sold by Samsung at 179 euros.
