The Cyclades island of Santorini has a lot to offer: red beaches, blue sea, good food. A holiday perfect for couples in love…

Loved ones had to wait a long time for a romantic holiday with sunsets in front of a dreamy sea backdrop. You can now catch up on Santorini. Colorful beaches and white houses in front of the dark blue sea await.

Romantics, connoisseurs and outdoor adventurers will all get their money’s worth on the Greek archipelago in the south of the Cyclades. How about a beach hike from Fira to Oia? The village in the north of the island dozes off during the day in the heat, but offers a real spectacle of colors in the evening. As soon as the sun goes down, it bathes the otherwise white houses of the mountain village in a rich orange. The best way to watch the play of colors is at the ruins of Lontza Castle or at the harbor in Amoudi Bay.

Beaches of all colors

Visitors to the beaches of Santorini experience a colorful spectacle of a different kind. Because they not only shine in the well-known white, but also shine in red or are even black. The best known is probably the Red Beach with its red cliffs and black sand. The bay is located in the south near Akrotiri and is not overrun even in high season. Athletes should make a detour to Monolithos Beach on the east coast of Santorini. Surfers, kite surfers and parasailers let off steam here. Perissa Beach is ideal for a bite to eat in between. Either you try small delicacies in one of the snack bars or enjoy the menu in the noble restaurant.

Of course you want to take one or the other souvenir photo home with you or post it on Instagram and Co. Snapshots in front of the Olia windmill or the local orange bell tower of the Anastasis Church are ideal for this – a vacation that will last for a long time.
