SAP: declining profits

(Boursier.com) — SAP , the German management software giant, announced for its first fiscal quarter cloud revenue growth accelerating to 31%, with 25% growth at constant currencies. The current backlog in the cloud segment is approaching 10 billion euros, an increase of 28%. SAP S/4HANA cloud revenues grew significantly by 78%, while their backlog soared by 86%. Total quarterly revenues were 7.08 billion euros, up 11%, while operating profit improved by 10% to 1.05 billion. Profit after tax, however, fell by 41% to $632 million, while adjusted profit declined by 32% to 1.17 billion euros. Basic EPS comes to 0.63 euro, or 1 euro on a non-IFRS basis. SAP also reaffirms its 2022 forecasts for revenue, non-IFRS operating profit and free cash flow.
