Concerts are currently only possible with strict Corona measures. Singer Sarah Connor criticizes: “I’m slowly losing patience.”

Concerts with a mask requirement, a hygiene concept, a limited audience and strict rules are currently the order of the day. Sarah Connor (41) now expresses sharp criticism of this situation. “It is difficult to see that everyone is going on vacation, restaurants are open again. Football games with tens of thousands of spectators are taking place and we are still shut down,” writes the singer in a long Instagram postby venting her anger. In addition, she posted the words: “When can we play concerts again?”.

It is “great” that life mostly feels “normal” again. “But what about us? Have we been forgotten? As if music, concerts and culture didn’t play a role at all,” said the 41-year-old. “How long should that go on now?”, Connor asks further. “And what else should we do to meet the requirements?” You are “slowly (…) losing patience. That is just not fair”.

Are there Sarah Connors concerts in September?

The stumbling block are some concerts that are scheduled to take place this year and have not been postponed to 2022. These are Sarah Connor shows in Berlin, Rostock and Leipzig in September. The singer and her live team worked out “comprehensive hygiene concepts” with the responsible authorities. According to Connor, this includes, among other things, the implementation of the “3G rule”, ie access only for those who have been vaccinated, tested or recovered, test stations on site and visitor data collection. “We have been fighting for weeks to be able to put on these shows in September (…),” explains the singer.

However, she and her team are still unable to make a statement about “whether the shows can be approved”. The problem with this is “that the current Corona regulation only applies for a few weeks and, for example, there is still no regulation for September in the federal states”. The singer asks her fans for patience “and hopes with me that we will see each other at a concert this summer”.
