What a shock to Sarah Connor. During the filming of her new single “Alles in mir wants zu Dir” a fire suddenly broke out in the singer’s wardrobe.
How the flames came about is still unclear. Sarah Connor, 41, was in Saragossa with her team to produce her new music video against the backdrop of an old monastery. But then everything suddenly went wrong, as the singer told “Bild”.
Sarah Connor: “We heard screams. ‘Out, Sarah! Out! Out!’
She herself was in her costume car when she heard screams. “We heard screams. ‘Out, Sarah! Out! Out!’ I thought they were going to lunch and wanted to take off the uncomfortable cowboy boots from the last scene. When I opened the door and looked to the side, I saw the huge flames rising on the car, “said the 41-year-old. Sarah herself sat in the back of the car with her make-up artist. The flames were reportedly emerging from the driver’s cab.
“Then everything went very quickly. We just started running. Barefoot. Without taking anything with us. That was quite a shock,” said Sarah Connor. It was unbelievable luck in misfortune. As the “How beautiful you are” interpreter reports, the situation could have ended completely differently. If the fire had broken out 20 minutes later, her staff would have been at lunch. “I [hätte] Sat in there with headphones on the laptop. […] I wouldn’t have noticed anything … “
The fire department arrived on the set 45 minutes later
Due to the high temperatures, the fire spread from the car to the dry grass. The fire brigade reached the scene of the accident after 45 minutes. All items belonging to the singer were destroyed in the fire. Not only her wardrobe, but also private memorabilia, such as a necklace that she got for Mother’s Day, as Sarah Connor reveals. “But the most important thing: except for the big shock, everyone was unharmed.”
