Sarah Connor has released the music video for her new song "Bye Bye". It quickly becomes clear that the entire family was at work here.

Sarah Connor (40) says goodbye to the Corona year 2020 with a song that speaks to many fans from the heart. In "Bye Bye" the artist celebrates the challenges of the past few months. Learn to have nothing to do with the children at home, to keep your distance. "From my point of view, it's slowly enough. I don't feel like it anymore," is her conclusion. She asks, "Can we fast-forward? And pretend everything is okay?"

Video shooting becomes a family affair

It's not just Connor's words that move. The singer has brought her loved ones on board for the music video for "Bye Bye". More open than ever, she gives insights into her family life. Self-made videos, which were edited by Connor's ex-husband Marc Terenzi (42) and edited by their son Tyler (16), show the family in their own four walls, cuddling or doing things together.

Guest appearances by pop star Helene Fischer (36, "roller coaster") and US hip-hop artist Wyclef Jean (51) with guitar also provide surprises. In order to capture the lifestyle of today, Connor also leaves the stage to people from everyday life in her video. The 40-year-old "drove around in the car and asked people in a wide variety of situations to sing briefly into my cell phone," she explains. The result: In "Bye Bye", a bus driver, a supermarket employee and several nurses make their appearance.

The family pulls together

Sarah Connor was married to the American native Marc Terenzi from 2004 to 2010. They have son Tyler and daughter Summer (14) together. Connor has been in a relationship with her manager Florian Fischer (46) since 2010. Their love is crowned by daughter Delphine (born 2011) and son Jax (born 2017), all of whom can also be seen in the singer's new, very personal music video.
