While shooting a new Sarah Connor music video, a truck full of costumes went up in flames. But she was lucky.

On June 25th, Sarah Connor (41) a music video for their current single “Alles in mir wants zu Dir” released. The story behind the clip is “so crazy”, she previously explained on Instagram, among other things – and now it is clear what the singer meant by that. A truck full of costumes went up in flames during filming and burned out completely. Fortunately nobody was injured as she tells the “picture”.

According to the report, Connor flew to Spain last week to film near a monastery. Around lunchtime, a fire broke out in a truck full of costumes. “We heard screams,” says the singer: “Out, Sarah! Out! Out!” When Connor “opened the door and looked to the side, I saw the huge flames rising up on the car”. She ran off barefoot without taking anything: “That was quite a shock. 20 minutes later I would have been sitting in there with headphones on the laptop. Everyone else during lunch break. I would not have noticed anything …”

Why did the fire come about?

According to the report, the fire was probably due to a technical defect. The fire brigade arrived at the remote location after about 45 minutes and was only able to contain the flames. In addition to the vehicle, the singer’s entire cloakroom was burned and she could not save personal items either – including the ID cards of her and friends who had traveled with her.

“I only had the things that I was wearing,” explains Connor. Someone from the crew even gave her “his flip-flops”. The group later worried “how we will get home the next day” because of the burned passports. “It then worked with digital copies and a lot of persuasion at the airport gate,” explains the 41-year-old. The most important thing, however, is: “Except for the big shock, everyone was unharmed.”
