Sarah Engels will take on the leading role in a musical film for Sat.1 – the whole thing should go “to the heart”.
A lot is happening in the life of Sarah Engels (28), better known to many as Sarah Lombardi: The singer is pregnant by her new husband with her second child and has been preparing for a new career path as an actress for a long time.
Now it is also known where and in what role the singer will be seen: Engels appears in front of the camera for a Sat.1 film, as the broadcaster reports. This is a musical film called “Toni & Tom”. In the story, as a single mother, Engels dreams of a career as a musical actress.
“TV with a heart”
The film is part of the broadcaster’s new offensive. In the future, Sat.1 would like to “make television with heart, passion, humor and great feelings”, as the broadcaster announced on Tuesday.
Already in March Engels announced on Instagram in view of the main role: “I’m really looking forward to the big challenge!” Preparations for the role had already begun.
However, it is not the very first time that Engels has appeared in front of the camera as an actress. In 2019, she turned on the side of Florian Silbereisen (39) for the “dream ship”.
