Sarah Ferguson: She keeps her marriage vows
On the occasion of a charity event in Poland, Sarah, who is affectionately known by many as Fergie, spoke openly to the Polish newspaper “Polsat News” about the reasons why she still stands behind her ex-husband. Sarah Ferguson says she is still sticking to her marriage vows to the scandal-ridden royal – even 15 years after her divorce. “I made a commitment that I will always keep,” said Ferguson. Fergie still calls her 1986 wedding anniversary with Andrew “one of the best days of my life”.
Sarah Ferguson: “You don’t know how I feel”
“I fell in love with him,” said the Duchess of York of her ex, with whom she still lives at the Royal Lodge in Windsor. “I kept my commitment, no matter what,” adds Ferguson am divorced, not divorced – you don’t know how I feel, ”she told the Polish outlet about her ongoing feelings for Andrew. “Divorce is one thing, but my heart is my oath, my commitment,” she said.
Escape to Balmoral
Prince Andrew is currently accused of having sex with the then 17-year-old Virginia Roberts Giuffre, now 38, who was introduced to him by the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, † 66. In August 2021, the American filed a lawsuit against Prince Andrew for the sexual abuse of a minor. Sarah and Andrew are currently spending a few days with Queen Elizabeth, 95, in their Scottish summer residence, Balmoral Castle, according to the New York Post. The prince has avoided several attempts to answer questions in this case and it is speculated that the trip to the Queen is considered a welcome escape for him. A first hearing is scheduled for next Monday, September 13th in London.
