In a celebratory ceremony, Sarah Ferguson presented actress Kristin Davis with this year’s “Perfect World Foundation Award”.

Yesterday, Thursday, “Sex and the City” actress Kristin Davis (58) was awarded the “Perfect World Foundation Award” environmental prize in Gothenburg for her long-standing commitment to the fight to protect endangered animal species. The bearer of the trophy was Sarah Ferguson (63), Duchess of York and ex-wife of the British Prince Andrew (63).

Kristin Davis is “Conservationist of the Year”

The award from the Swedish Environmental Protection Organization “The Perfect World Foundation” annually honors prominent “Conservationist of the Year” who have actively supported wildlife. Sarah Ferguson has been the bearer of the trophy, a crystal rhino, for several years now.

Commitment to elephant orphans

Davis received the award, among other things, for her commitment to the “David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust”, an NGO based in Kenya’s capital Nairobi that is particularly committed to rescuing orphaned elephants. The actress has also been supporting charitable organizations such as “Oxfam” for years.

On their Facebook channel The Duchess of York commented on the event with the following words: “As a long-time ambassador for The Perfect World Foundation, I would like to extend my sincerest congratulations to philanthropist, actress and producer Kristin Davis. It is an honor to present you with The Perfect World Foundation Award 2023′. Thank you for your contribution to protecting our planet’s wildlife, for your efforts to raise global awareness of the importance of protecting our biodiversity, and for your efforts to do so as patron of Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and as a goodwill ambassador at UNHCR, the UN refugee agency.”
