Almost 2,000 people were able to attend the coronation ceremony on May 6, 2023 in Westminster Abbey. These include high-ranking royals, politicians and many who have proven themselves in voluntary service. However, a member of the Royal Family was not invited: Sarah Ferguson had to watch the ceremony like 14 million Britons on television.

Sarah Ferguson, 63, was married to Prince Andrew, 63, for ten years. To this day, the two maintain a good relationship with each other, also because of their children and grandchildren. But she is only indirectly a member of the Royal Family. She did not receive an invitation to the coronation of King Charles, 74. For the mother of Princess Beatrice, 34, and Princess Eugenie, 33, a reason for resentment? Are you kidding me? Are you serious when you say that.

Here’s what Sarah Ferguson thinks about King Charles and Queen Camilla

In an interview with “Gala.fr”, Sarah Ferguson commented on the new king, after all her ex-brother-in-law and his wife. And despite having to stay at home while her daughters and sons-in-law got to see them live at Westminster Abbey, the 63-year-old can’t say a bad word about Charles and Camilla. “The King and Queen have started their reign in the most wonderful way. From my point of view, the coronation was a magnificent celebration of all that makes the UK great.” Sarah Ferguson continues to praise Charles, saying that despite all the formalities of such a ceremony, he was able to “show his true colors”. She feels a great appreciation for the 74-year-old: “It must have been very difficult to take responsibility for this new role while mourning the loss of the Queen.”

Fergie was able to enjoy the coronation concert

She was not allowed to attend the ceremony, but she was allowed to attend the coronation concert at Windsor Castle. She said she really enjoyed the celebrations. “It was an honor to be invited to celebrate with the King and the rest of the family at the concert at Windsor Castle.” Although Sarah Ferguson is no longer an official working royal, she remains close to the family. For example, together with her ex-husband, she inherited custody of the famous corgis from Queen Elizabeth, † 96.
