Sarah Ferguson ready for Christmas: she publishes an adorable photo, toys in her arms

Long gone are the days when Prince Andrew’s former wife made the headlines for various scandals impacting the British Crown. Today, it is through her charitable actions and her new professional activity that Sarah Ferguson is getting noticed. On her very popular Instagram account, the Duchess of York regularly documents her new life, as serene as it is harmonious. On this Saturday, December 23, while everyone is preparing for the Christmas holidays, the mother of Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie of York posted a touching photo, where we can see her arms full of adorable stuffed animals and rag dolls. In comments, the happy grandmother confided : “We’re wrapping up lots of toys (and books) to put under the tree!”

Obviously, the Duchess of York is preparing to spend a Christmas with family, she who became a grandmother for the third time last June. Indeed, in her message, the one who has published several novels for adults and books for children also specifies: “It’s time again to read Little Red’s Christmas Story to my grandchildren!” This book, whose title can be translated as “Little Redhead’s Christmas Story”, features a character imagined by Sarah Ferguson, who was so successful that he was the subject of a whole series of books, and even had his own doll… which happens to be in the arms of the duchess in the photo she published! A doll made famous by the news

The most attentive will have noticed that on the Instagram account of “Fergie”, as she is nicknamed, some of the stuffed animals she holds in her arms appear regularly. We had already been able to see them on November 20, on the occasion of World Children’s Day 2023, during which the Duchess of York encouraged the call for donations. Very invested in this cause, the one who fights against cancer without sparing his efforts, having had to fight this illness, also founded a charity named Chances for Childrenwhose mascot is precisely the doll of his character Little Red.

Some of you may still remember: after September 11, 2011, the first version of this rag doll made headlines. In fact, the offices of Chances for Children were located in one of the towers affected by the attacks, and Sarah Ferguson should have been there that day if an interview had not been delayed, as she explained by posting a photo of the doll in the rubble, praising providence for having survived the disaster… This doll is now part of the September 11 museum exhibition.
