Her dogs were her everything. Sarah Ferguson has now shared how Queen Elizabeth’s dogs are doing in their new home.
The late Queen Elizabeth’s corgis, †96, have settled in well in their new home. That was the new dog mom Sarah Ferguson, 62, from Muick and Sandy in an interview with the British newspaper “The Telegraph”. The inheritance of the two dogs is “a great honor” for her, the Queen’s corgis are “national treasures”.

In the interview, Ferguson also remembers the queen herself. Her former mother-in-law was always a “wonderful friend” for her. She also described the Queen with the words “legendary” and “incredible”. The late monarch was “the most beautiful icon of all time”.
The Corgi Muick and Dorgi Fergus were gifts from Prince Andrew to his mother during lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic. His father, Prince Philip, † 99, was in the hospital at the time. Fergus died as a puppy in May of the same year, which is why the Queen was able to welcome Corgi Lady Sandy a short time later.
Queen Elizabeth was a great dog lover throughout her life. She owned a total of more than 30 corgis and dachshund-corgi mixes, which became known as dorgis.
