Princess Beatrice recently celebrated her 35th birthday. Sarah Ferguson is now revealing details about her eldest daughter’s “magical day”.

Chats on her podcast Tea Talks with The Duchess and Sarah Sarah Ferguson, 63, likes to get out of her private sewing box, recently made her breast cancer public here. Now she gives insights into her daughter’s birthday.

Sarah Ferguson surprises Princess Beatrice with a magical birthday

Princess Beatrice turned 35 on Tuesday 8 August 2023. Mama Fergie knew how to give her firstborn a lovely day and also playfully involve granddaughter Sienna, who will be two in September. “I hid many different fairies in the garden and sent Sienna on a fairytale hunt with wings to find the fairies,” reveals the 63-year-old. “She held out with the wings for quite a while before Beatrice and I put the wings on. And when she found the fairies we had a fairy picnic and it was a magical day for Beatrice’s birthday.”

It’s no secret that the Duchess of York isn’t lacking in creativity, as she has already published several novels and children’s books. Your grandchildren in particular should benefit from this at the moment. “I seriously made Sienna understand that fairies lived in the oak tree in the garden and she had to find the little door to the fairy store that’s in the oak tree,” she said.

Fergie is working on a new children’s book

This fairytale story should soon inspire other children too. “Of course this is my next book I’ve just started writing about the department store with the Sluggington Smyths, who are a snail family, a very fine snail family,” Sarah Ferguson grants a first glimpse of her next work.

The passionate grandmother spends as much time as possible with her grandchildren. While Beatrice and husband Edoardo Mapelli are raising Mozzi, 39, daughter Sienna and Edo’s son Christopher “Wolfie” Woolf, 7, from his previous relationship, Princess Eugenie, 33, and Jack Brooksbank, 37, are parents to August, two, and three-month-old Ernest.

Before Beatrice’s birthday, daughter Sienna was even allowed to stay with her grandmother, while Prince William’s cousin, 41, and Prince Harry, 38, were traveling with their loved one. It was hardly boring, after all, there were all sorts of preparations to be made for the big day. “We’re busy blowing up balloons and she’s been baking a lot of cupcakes,” Sarah Ferguson said of the activities with her granddaughter in a previous episode of her podcast. “She explained to GG (Sienna’s nickname for her grandmother, editor’s note) how to make muffins, and then GG and Sienna had to taste the muffins, and then we had to put our fingers in the muffins, so we were very adventurous in the kitchen, that has to be said.”
