The secret is out: Sarah Kern is this year’s jungle camp participant on the cover of the German “Playboy”.
Shortly before Sarah Kern (55) competes for the jungle crown in the RTL program “I’m a Star – Get Me Out of Here!” in Australia from January 19th. The German-Danish designer is now receiving a great honor: she is the cover star for the new issue of the German “Playboy”.
“I’m the best version of Sarah today”
“I’m glad I can send this message now because as a young woman I wasn’t that confident,” says Sarah Kern in an interview about the cover. However, it is not her first “Playboy” appearance: the then 30-year-old was already seen in the magazine in October 2000. But her current pictures are “much hotter,” says Kern. “I am the best version of Sarah today – and that’s someone I didn’t even know back then.” Today she is “much stronger and more confident”. This is due, among other things, to the fact that in 2019, as a mother of two children, she “pulled herself out of bankruptcy by my own hair,” and also to her emigration to Malta in 2018. She “just took time to look after myself “I think you can see that I’m comfortable in my own skin.”

Will this new self-confidence also help her in the Australian jungle? Kern is looking forward to the adventure: “It’s not necessarily joy. But fear would also be wrong. I approach it with respect and with the hope that I won’t go crazy. But I’m actually quite social and have always been a team player “These are good conditions,” she says in an interview.
According to her own statement, it won’t be difficult for her to go without luxury in the jungle camp: “Not at all. I’ve often given up on everything in my life. After I became bankrupt, I was left with nothing, my account was even blocked. I think , I have proven several times that I can live well without luxury.”
Ex-husband Otto Kern would have found the photos “sexy”.
Sarah Kern made the decision to go naked for “Playboy” without the consent of her current partner. “He’s happy for me now, but he didn’t think it was cool,” she says. “But I couldn’t take that into consideration – I would only do that with a husband. If I had asked anyone’s permission, it would have been Otto.” Sarah Kern was married to Otto Kern (1950-2017) from 1995 to 1999; he is the father of her son Olivier. The fashion entrepreneur, who died in 2017, “would have found the photos sexy,” says Sarah Kern. Sarah Kern has a son born in 2007 from another marriage. She has been in a relationship with her partner Tobias Pankow for several years.
