“Buffy” star Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. have been happily together for 21 years.
The beginning of the relationship between Sarah Michelle Gellar (46) and Freddie Prinze Jr. (47) was a bit scary: in 1997 the two actors met each other on the set of the horror classic “I Know What You Did Last Summer” and had to struggle through a nerve-wracking nightmare in front of the camera.
Like Freddie Prinze Jr. told People magazine, sparks did not fly between them immediately at the time, only at the second attempt did they become interested in each other: “Then one day I took them to the gym,” explained the actor. “We chatted on the way there and she was a cool girl.”
Glittering wedding party 2002 in Mexico
At the time, the two Hollywood stars probably would not have thought that the encounter could result in a happy marriage that would last for decades. In 2002 they finally tied the knot in Mexico and celebrated a lavish wedding party to mariachi music. In the same year, the two also appeared together again in front of the camera, in the adventure comedy “Scooby-Doo”. Previously, Sarah Michelle Gellar had already achieved world fame with her role as a vampire slayer in the series “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”.

In an Instagram post For the 21st wedding anniversary on September 1st, the actress recalled the beginnings of their love story and presented a photo from their wedding party at the time, where they were tightly embraced and visibly in love dancing with each other.
In the accompanying comment, she asks her husband about the appropriate outfit for this special day: “@realfreddieprinze what is usual for 21 years? I think it’s Celine or rather Loewe ?!?” – Celine and Loewe are extremely high-priced fashion labels of the absolute luxury class – which the prominent ex-vampire slayer can now easily afford.
