Sarbacane takes off in digital marketing and raises 110 million euros

While investments are more cautious in this fall, business is progressing for the Lille company Sarbacane, which is growing day by day in the communication and digital marketing market for companies.

The company has just raised 110 million euros from EMZ and banking institutions and is also announcing the acquisition of a company specializing in data, Marketing 1BY1.

This is the third acquisition in two years. After capturing its German competitor rapidmail in its nets last year, Sarbacane wants to acquire data expertise with 1BY1. The company 1BY1, which specializes in data management, is developing a Customer Data Platform, which makes it a rather upstream player, at the data flow consolidation stage.

Data analysis is essential to the Sabarcane model, which sells companies SaaS solutions to enable them to carry out emailing, SMS or landing page and chat campaigns, among others.

Triple objective

The company, whose turnover reached 30 million euros this year, wants to pass the milestone of 100 million in turnover by 2026.

To free itself from its historic emailing software, the company changed its name and became the Positive group. Over the years, the company has diversified into the creation of automated workflows and conversational marketing in particular. The Positive group positions itself more as “an entrepreneurial platform for digital innovation”, and intends to promote tailor-made support for companies that embrace multichannel.

“Three years ago, we embarked on a new phase of expansion by continuing to develop our historical activities, but also by authorizing ourselves to make targeted acquisitions to grow faster, expand our functional coverage and expand internationally. “said Mathieu Tarnus, CEO of the Positive group, ex-Sarbacane.
