Sasha will be a guest star on “Holiday on Ice”
The singer is looking forward to “many magical moments”
Sasha will appear as a guest star on the new “Holiday on Ice” show “Horizons” and perform his songs “Lucky Day” and “If you believe”.
Premiere for Sasha (52): Along with Sarah Engels (31) and Loi (22), the singer is one of the guest stars of the new “Holiday on Ice” show “Horizons”, which will transform the ice rinks in 22 German cities into a big city stage from November .
Sasha: “I’m feeling great”
“I’m really looking forward to becoming a small part of a great show, as well as to the audience and the many magical moments that the whole team will conjure up on the ice every evening,” enthuses Sasha in the interview. The singer seems to have long since put his health problems, which forced him to cancel his tour last year, behind him. “I’m doing great,” says the happy father of a five-year-old son. “I had a great summer, which I was even able to extend a bit with my family in Crete in the fall. So I can’t complain.”
Three special guest stars
Sasha will appear as a guest star on a total of five shows and perform his hits “Lucky Day” and “If you believe”. “The ‘Holiday on Ice’ show ‘Horizons’ is a tribute to the unique dynamics of big cities, the endless possibilities. My songs fit in very well because sometimes you need luck, but belief in it is just as important,” he says singer out.
Sarah Engels will appear in three shows and perform the songs “Forever” and “Te amo mi amor”. For the singer it is a comeback on the ice. The 31-year-old was already seen as an ice skating act on the shows “Supernova” and “Showtime” in the 2019/2020 season, and she is a singer on “Horizons”.
Vocal wonder Loi will be on stage at two shows with her pop song “Gold” and a new, previously unreleased ballad. The new show “Horizons” starts on November 13th in Grefrath and ends in Düsseldorf on April 25th, 2025.
How is Sasha doing on the ice?
Sasha plans to attend the show privately in the run-up to Christmas. “I would like to come with my wife, my in-laws and my son to experience the show with my family.” And what about his qualities on the ice? “I think the last time I went ice skating was when I was around 15 years old in the Echtrop ice rink near Soest,” he remembers. “I wasn’t actually that bad, but I wanted to impress the person I loved at the time at the ice disco and of course what happens when you want too much happened, I did a good job. But I think it’s time again “It’s a lot of fun to put on ice skates! I think the sound that the blades make on the ice is very magical,” enthuses the singer.
