Former “Bachelor” candidate separates after just one year of marriage

A good year after the wedding and the birth of son Elias: “Bachelor” candidate Saskia Atzeroth is separated.
Saskia Atzeroth (31) and her husband Sebastian have separated. The former “Bachelor” candidate gave the news announced in an Instagram story. The reality TV actress only got married in June 2022. Shortly afterwards her son Elias was born.
“Someone has probably noticed that something has changed for me,” explains Saskia Atzerodt in her Instagram story. Then she drops the bombshell: “I separated from my husband a few weeks ago.” The background “doesn’t belong in the public eye,” which is why the influencer doesn’t name them.
“I ask you not to judge”
“I ask you not to judge,” Atzeroth continues. “Sometimes paths go in different directions and then it’s better to recognize that and act.”
However, she remains connected to her husband through their son, who was born in July 2022. “Elias’ well-being comes first.”
“Bachelor” to “Summer House” curse
Saskia Atzeroth appeared on television for the first time in 2016. The trained tax clerk fought for the final rose from Leonard Freier (38) in the sixth season of “The Bachelor”. The part-time model was eliminated on the fourth night of the roses.
The Augsburg native met model Nico Schwanz (45) after “Bachelor”. They took part in “The Summer House of the Stars” together in 2017 – and won the “Battle of the Celebrity Couples”. Shortly after the broadcast, Atzeroth and Schwanz were struck by the infamous “Sommerhaus” curse. The couple separated. In 2018, Saskia Atzeroth was looking for a partner in “Bachelor in Paradise”, which she then found outside of television.
