Satechi releases USB-C hub ideal for MacBook users

While there is a plethora of USB-C hubs with all kinds of connections, it is not uncommon to be disappointed by the supported standards, which do not allow you to benefit from the most efficient peripherals.

The Satechi USB-C hub is equipped with a braided cable for added strength.

Satechi intends to correct this problem with its USB-C Ethernet Multiport Adapter V3. If the manufacturer highlights its HDMI port compatible with 8K at 30 Hz or 4K at 120 Hz, we will for our part retain the SD port with the UHS-II standard, an SD card support that can deliver up to 312 MB/s including videographers love it.

Three USB-C ports are wired for 10 Gb/s, while a fourth is happy with 5 Gb/s to connect your external SSDs. All are distributed around the aluminum hull. A USB-C port compatible with Power Delivery up to 85 W completes the already well-stocked connectivity.

UHS-II compatible, but not Multi Gig

The only downside is the lack of a full-size USB port, which will force USB dongle users to find an alternative solution and a Gigabit standard Ethernet port.

It is available in silver, space gray and midnight black.

The Satechi USB-C Ethernet V3 Multiport Adapter is available in three colors: silver, space gray and midnight black for €99. It’s €40 cheaper than the Razer Dock USB-C, which is less well equipped in terms of standards.
