For those who don’t like pants, skinny midi skirts are fashion must-haves. Shimmering satin designs are particularly popular. They are easy to care for, stylish and have a Scandinavian flair – but here too you should pay attention to two or three styling tricks.

Everyone has them – everyone loves them: fashion all-rounders that we can wear all year round without going out of style. In addition to jeans, culottes and blazers, satin skirts also belong in this category. The mostly tight-fitting shape and the shimmering fabric caress the body of its wearer in a flattering way. But even with a safe fashion bank, there are tricks on how the design comes into its own.

Satin skirts: How to bring Scandi vibe into your wardrobe

Not only the easy chic of the French has shaped our style for years, the cool Scandi girls are now in the fast lane in terms of fashion. One piece of clothing you can always find in their wardrobe: the satin skirt. It offers a high degree of variance in styling, but you see three looks again and again on the streets of Copenhagen, Stockholm and Co.

The satin skirt gets a sporty update

Satin skirts are very elegant simply because of their feel and their look. Nevertheless, there is nothing wrong with combining the shimmering fabric with sporty accessories. The Swede Emelie Lindmark styles a luxurious Chanel bag with her black midi skirt, but also Converse chucks with extra wide soles. The style mix of elegant and casual creates a tension that doesn’t seem forced, but complements each other well. Other street style elements such as dad sneakers, bucket hats or hoodies can also be easily combined with the trend skirts.

Sleek and super stylish

With the Scandis, of course, nothing beats the oversize cut. Oversized sweaters and jackets, wide pants and so on – all this makes up the famous Scandi style. The XL look does not work with satin skirts themselves, they should be as narrow as possible around the body, but you can really let off steam with the tops. We find the combination of Grece Ghanem particularly cool, which allows different silhouettes to merge with the puffed jacket and the skirt.

The skirt that is already getting us in the summer mood

You don’t have to be born in Scandinavia to discover reduced, clean looks for yourself. Although one usually speaks of a Scandi style, it is not tied to cities or people. It is characterized by its simplicity, clarity and coolness. For example, the satin skirt is not worn with a blouse with puff sleeves, but rather with a boyfriend shirt and tank top. Fashionista Amalie Moosgaard Nielsen also likes it comfortable when it comes to shoes: flip-flops on and her outfit makes us dream of summer.
